Triangle Chatter

A lot of great things happening with NCTA right now.

North Carolina Technology AssociationOn February 20, nearly 250 leaders joined us at the Angus Barn for our 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Last week, NCTA stormed the General Assembly for its Tech Day at the Legislature.  The goal of this day was to highlight the vital role the tech sector plays in North Carolina’s economy, emphasize how technology can help gain efficiencies in government operations, and make note of any legislative priorities in the session related to IT policy, including IT procurement and deployment within State Government.

The day included a Legislative Breakfast, Press Conference where NCTA reviewed its Legislative Agenda, and a Tech Expo where two dozen NCTA member companies exhibited throughout the main floor of the Legislative Building. The NCTA Government Affairs Network organizes these and other related activities throughout the year.

NCTA will continue its activities in March with:

  • March 12 – Techworking (Triangle) – join NCTA, the Carolina RailHawks and the tech community for high-level networking at WakeMed Soccer Park.
  • March 15 – Emerging Tech + Trends (Charlotte) – we have assembled of leaders from the City of Charlotte, Duke Energy, Peak 10 and TIAA-CREF for a discussion on Data Recovery strategies for mission critical operations.

Want to learn more about NCTA Membership?  We will be hosting an NCTA 101 webinar on March 15.  This is great for members wanting to get more out of their membership or nonmembers considering joining.
