Another Smart Move! Bandwidth Celebrates Their New Headquarters in Raleigh
October 30, 2012
Innovate Raleigh is one serious movement. Major software companies Red Hat and Citrix already call downtown Raleigh home, but there’s another heavy hitter moving in. Bandwidth, one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing tech companies, is moving its’ headquarters to NC State’s Centennial Campus. From their much admired Phonebooth VoIP service to their revolutionary Wi-fill cell phone service Republic Wireless, Bandwidth is shaking up an entire industry; and they’re right here in Raleigh.
Bandwidth has received many top rankings lately, including being named one of the Triangle’s best places to work, one of the state’s top private companies and becoming a finalist in the NCTA 21 Tech Awards. Bandwidth Chief People Officer, Rebecca Bottorff, was named a 2012 ‘Women in Business’ Award Winner by the Triangle Business Journal. Can you say amazing? It’s only fitting that their home is in Raleigh in America’s number one fastest growing city for technology jobs.
There will be plenty of fun and festivities for everyone to celebrate the move and shining achievements. Festivities will kick off October 28, during NC State’s homecoming, when Bandwidth will sponsor a special 5k run. Also during the week of homecoming, Bandwidth will support Wear Red, Get Fed festivities in the Brickyard. The company will sponsor the opening reception of the Internet Summit and take part in Triangle Entrepreneur Week, where they will raffle off some of their awesome products to growing startups. You don’t want to miss that!
Bandwidth’s move also means great things for the college students, recent grads and professionals in the area. The company is looking to fill over 200 spots for new talent over the next three years. Get your resumes ready! There seems to be no shortage of reasons to celebrate the arrival of our new neighbors, so make sure you head downtown to enjoy the fun. Excitement is sure to fill the air as we welcome yet another awesome addition to the already stellar roster of software companies clustering up in Raleigh. Look out Silicon Valley, Raleigh’s got talent!
