Cisco Joins Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster Board

Research Triangle Region, N.C. – Cisco, the global leader in networking, has joined the board of the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster (RTCC).
Wes Sylvester, Connected Energy sales and business development, will represent Cisco on the RTCC board.
“Population growth, urbanization and climate change require that we make smarter use of all of our planet’s resources,” Sylvester said. “Cisco is the platform on which we’ll do that, building connected, sustainable communities of the future. We see great value and tremendous potential for accelerating innovation in this area by working closely with other world-leading cleantech companies in the region.”
The RTCC is a regional initiative to expand the 13-county Research Triangle Region's clean technology economy and position it as a leading location in the world for smart grids, advanced transportation, water technologies, renewable energy and energy efficiency. RTCC Managing Director Lee Anne Nance said Cisco’s participation provides a significant boost to the cluster’s work.
