Evatran(TM) Opens Satellite Office In Raleigh
Raleigh, North Carolina office space to house Sales, Advanced Research and Development, and Product Engineering personnel for wireless electric vehicle infrastructure developer
Morrisville, N.C. -- PRNewswire via COMTEX -- Evatran, the developer of Plugless Power wireless charging systems for electric vehicles, announced today that it has opened a satellite office in the Research Triangle Park area outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. The area, which is known as a major hub for engineering talent and entrepreneurial activity, will house the company's Sales and Engineering teams. The new space, located at 1100 Perimeter Park, will also allow the company to establish an Advanced Research and Development center. The company will maintain its headquarters and manufacturing functions in Wytheville, Virginia.
The company develops advanced technologies for the recharging of electric vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf currently available in the market. The company was founded in 2009 as a wholly owned subsidiary of MTC Transformers(TM), a custom manufacturer of electrical transformers. Since that time, the company has been spun out from MTC and has established commercial relationships with Yazaki North America, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, and Sears Home Services, the leading provider of appliance installation services across the nation, in order to commercialize its wireless recharging technology, Plugless Power.
Timothy Briggs, CFO of Evatran, communicated the company's excitement for this opening: "We are thrilled to open this satellite office in Research Triangle Park. The Raleigh area has been my home for over 24 years and I am pleased to introduce Evatran to the area. As we continue to build Evatran as a clean technology company, we look forward to setting up relationships with customers and vendors in the area as we establish ourselves as a leader in the wireless charging market."
The office will welcome visitors during its Open House, scheduled for February 2nd, 2012 from 7:00 - 8:30p at 1100 Perimeter Park Drive Suite #114.
