Registration Opens for 2015 State of the Research Triangle Region on May 21

RESEARCH TRIANGLE REGION, N.C. (April 6, 2015) – Registration is under way and limited sponsorships remain for the 2015 State of the Research Triangle Region event scheduled for May 21 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center Research Triangle Regionin Durham. 

Nearly 1,000 business and community leaders are expected to attend the annual economic development forum hosted this year by the Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP) with presenting sponsors Atlantic Coast Pipeline, Chatham Park and PSNC Energy.

Business leaders will examine the qualities that define a “smart region,” how the Research Triangle Region stacks up and what it can mean for the region’s economic future and quality of life. The event also will celebrate and reflect on 25 years since the Research Triangle Regional Partnership formed to lead regional economic development.

“We’ve witnessed an astounding transformation of our region’s economy over the past two and a half decades led by innovations in information technology, life sciences and, more recently, clean technology,” said Charles A. Hayes, RTRP president and chief executive officer. “Given the opportunity we have to lead ‘smart region’ innovation, it appears a new wave of transformation has just begun.”

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $100 for individuals and $1,000 for a corporate table of 10.
