State of Research Triangle Region Event Registration Now Open
Attendees to learn how higher education impacts the success of the region
Research Triangle Region, N.C. (April 9, 2014) – Registration is now open for the Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP) "State of the Region" event on May 22 at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham. Individual tickets and corporate tables may be purchased online at http://www.researchtriangle.org/2014SOR. The year’s meeting will focus on the impact of higher education on the Triangle's economic growth and business trends.
Bob Geolas, president and CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation, said, “Our success is tied to our ability to support higher education over the past 50 years. It has kept our people here, it has trained our people and created the broad economic growth we see today. We all need to continue to make those investments so that Research Triangle Region and our state remain one of the most competitive in the world.”
The Research Triangle Regional Partnership, along with presenting sponsors PNC and the Research Triangle Foundation are hosts of the event, which is typically attended by more than 900 regional leaders and provides insight into the continuing growth of the region.
“University leadership, faculty and students guide so much of what we do when choosing the right industry partners, job creation, and greater economic success,” added Geolas. “It is our commitment to that relationship with the universities, that I believe has led to the success that we have here in the Research Triangle.”
