Wake Economic Development Add Staff to Support Business Growth


Raleigh, NC -- Wake County Economic Development has added two new staff members to support growing clusters and business development initiatives in the region.

Michael Haley new project manager, will focus his efforts on supporting the growth and development of the smart grid, software/IT, and datacenter clusters in Wake County.

Prior to joining Wake County Economic Development, Haley worked with the N.C. Department of Commerce for five years as director of public policy as a policy analyst. He holds bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in public administration from East Carolina University.

Kelly Maness is a new program assistant. The 2010 graduate of N.C. State University holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and served as a research intern since March.

Maness will focus on Wake County’s talent attraction initiative, existing industry resources, entrepreneurial initiatives and small business assistance.
