Premier Southeast Life Science Venture Forum
Comes to Pinehurst November 10-11

RESEARCH TRIANGLE REGION, N.C. - A select group of promising southeastern biotechnology companies will present their business plans to potential investors in Pinehurst November 10-11 at the 5th annual Southeastern BIO Investor Forum (SEBIO).

The premier regional forum showcases the Southeast region's critical mass and broad range of life science investment opportunities. SEBIO will select 15-20 biotechnology companies from seven southeastern states through a regional selection process. The selected companies will present their business plans to an audience of venture capital firms, investment funds and angel investors on November 11.

SEBIO also will feature an Early-Stage Program for pre-investment stage biotech companies. This half-day program includes one-on-one meetings and group seminars with an advisory panel of venture fund and business mentors.

The annual conference brings together biotechnology executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers and other industry professionals to highlight the Southeast's life science investment opportunities. It also explores research, market and financing trends with nationally recognized leaders from the investment and bioscience industries.

SEBIO 2003 is presented by SELSA, the Southeastern Life Science Association, a regional collaboration of leading organizations from life sciences, entrepreneurship and venture capital, from both the public and private sector. The Southeast is recognized as one of the fastest growing life sciences regions in the United States and is home to more than 350 life sciences companies. Participating states are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
