New York, NY - Makhteshim Agan Industries Israel, the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of generic crop protection chemicals with $1.1 Billion in sales, has signed a multi-year lease agreement that will relocate its North American headquarters from New York City to Raleigh, North Carolina. Known in the US and Canada as MANA (Makhteshim Agan of North America) the company is aggressively expanding its presence in the US and Canadian agricultural markets, and recently named John C Rabby as President and CEO. Mr. Rabby is a 25-year veteran of agricultural chemical business management.

MANA headquarters will be located at 4515 Falls of the Neuse Road in Raleigh. The move is intended to increase efficiencies within the company by bringing together its operational groups and support functions into a central location. The move is projected for mid-2005 and it is anticipated that 25 people will relocate to the Raleigh area during the first half of 2005. MANA expects to employ 40 personnel in Raleigh with many to be hired locally as the company expands during the year 2005-2006. "We recognize the importance of the Raleigh area and its central location to some of the world's leading agricultural chemical companies and agricultural crop markets," says Rabby. The State of North Carolina's Department of Economic Development continues their help and support of the company during this transition.

"Makhteshim Agan Industries is setting its sights on aggressive growth in the North American agricultural chemical market, centralizing our business locations is a critical part of our long term strategy" states Rabby.
