Orvis is now open in Triangle Town Commons
What: The first Orvis store in North Carolina opened Friday. The 20,000 square foot store is dedicated to the sporting and country lifestyle. Visitors will find apparel for men and women, home furnishings and gifts. Orvis features an extensive collection of fly-fishing and upland bird-hunting gear. Over 100 models of fly rods will be on display for anglers to test out on the exterior casting pond, complete with casting platform.

Where: Triangle Town Commons
Details: Fly-fishing schools, guided fly-fishing trips, an outfitting service and free "how to" seminars as well as other events will be offered on a regular basis at the Raleigh location. The company, 150 years old, donates 5% of pre-tax profits to conservation projects each year to support the environment.
