Training

North Carolina??s nationally renowned system of 59 community colleges across the state offer customized training to area businesses and industries in a variety of technical and professional areas.

New and expanding companies can develop state-sponsored, customized training programs with their local community colleges. These programs train workers with the essential, specific skills needed for local industries.

Community college representatives work with employers to identify training requirements and design a program tailored to meet those needs. Courses and workshops can be taught in the workplace at times convenient to employers. For companies in the process of building facilities, training may be arranged prior to completion of a new facility, allowing the company to begin operations with a fully trained workforce. Training also may include courses and workshops on such topic! s as supervision, time management, decision-making, business communications and all levels of computer skills.
