Action Plan

The Draft Action Plan is designed as a continually evolving document that both guides the work of the task forces and reflects their progress.

The initiative aims to help people and decision-makers in the 15-county region:
  • Sustain the green places they value.
  • Create vibrant centers in all of our communities where people can live, work, learn and play.
  • Use transit to connect these centers to one another and to communities throughout the region.

Three task forces formed around each of the principles are working to achieve them by:

  • Defining and identifying areas of critical regional interest.
  • Analyzing the areas.
  • Visualizing the areas.
  • Engaging those with interests in the areas.

A fourth task force is seeking endorsement of the three guiding principles from all city and county governments in the 15 counties. It is also helping "tell the story" about these principles in straightforward, compelling terms.
