In August 1998, Bo Carson joined the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, a private non-profit economic development organization responsible for marketing a 13-county region of North Carolina that is consistently ranked as one of the most competitive regions in the world. With a background in geography and research, he is currently the vice president of information services. Previous employers include the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Orange County Economic Development Commission.
With over a decade of experience promoting economic development in the Research Triangle Region, Mr. Carson is responsible for project handling, website information marketing, existing industry growth and cluster development opportunities. He has contributed research to the region’s life sciences, Cleantech and informational research studies that have promoted and verified the region’s assets in these industry clusters.
Mr. Carson is an active member of several professional organizations, including the N.C. Economic Developers Association, International Economic Development Council and The Council for Community and Economic Research.
Mr. Carson received his bachelor’s degree in Geography from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Born and raised in Bethel, North Carolina, Mr. Carson currently resides in Wake Forest with his wife, Lori and son, Sawyer.
