Emmit Owens serves as the manager of member services and programs for the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster (RTCC).
Emmit assists with the implementation of the RTCC’s two year program of work which focuses on marketing and branding the region as a global cleantech leader, accelerating the growth of the Research Triangle Region’s cleantech sector and developing community and industry engagement within the cleantech community. Previously, Emmit served as a regional coordinator for the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, where he focused on the growth of the biotechnology sector in southeastern North Carolina. His duties included collecting and analyzing metrics to create insightful reports used to market and brand regional assets and develop action plans.
Emmitt received his MPA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and his Bachelor of Arts degree in government from Campbell University.
