DURHAM — Eight startups from across North Carolina have received grants from NC IDEA totaling $300,000.

• The Boost Pad – Charlotte, NC

• Code the Dream – Durham, NC

• CREATE – Chapel Hill, NC

• East Carolina University Miller School of Entrepreneurship – Greenville, NC

• Manufacturing Solutions Center – Conover, NC

• Piedmont Food Processing Center – Hillsborough, NC

• Thread Capital – Raleigh, NC

“We are committed to supporting entrepreneurial ambition and economic empowerment in North Carolina, which is advanced by working with partners around the state who share in our ambition,” said Thom Ruhe, President and CEO of NC IDEA, in a statement.

“By partnering with these organizations, we create greater opportunity to strengthen the infrastructure for North Carolina’s entrepreneurs who are vital to the economic recovery we need,” Ruhe added.

This new cohort of NC IDEA ECOSYSTEM grant recipients joins the 24 current ECOSYSTEM partners of the Foundation. The NC IDEA ECOSYSTEM grant program reflects NC IDEA’s commitment to strengthening the infrastructure for North Carolina’s entrepreneurs by providing grant funding to organizations that execute creative programs to support entrepreneurs.
