Das neueste North Hills-Projekt des Raleigh-Entwicklers kombiniert Einzelhandels- und Wohnflächen

Kane Realty Corp. has filed plans for its latest project in North Hills, which is set to feature hundreds of apartments in a new multifamily building in a booming part of Raleigh.

Earlier this month, Kane filed plans for the Vine 2 Apartments, a 200-unit multifamily complex featuring a 7-story building complete with retail space and access to an existing parking structure, which would be extended as part of the project.

The project is situated on 2.6 acres at 540 St. Albans Drive next to another Kane project, dubbed Vine Apartments, which is scheduled to open this summer.

According to the filing with the city, Vine 2 will feature 15,000 square feet of retail space, 145 single-bedroom apartments, 50 two-bedroom apartments and five three-bedroom apartments all across a 202,000-square-foot building not including the associated parking deck.

Bethesda, Maryland-based SK+I Architecture is the architect on the project and McAdams provided planning services. The plans also outlined land set aside for future phases but did not list specific details.

This latest project adds to a list of projects Kane Realty has in the works.

Just last month, Kane filed a request with the City of Raleigh to rezone the site for its Downtown South project, in partnership with Steve Malik, to allow for the development of the 133-acre site. The developers envision an entertainment district anchored by a multipurpose stadium set to seat between 12,000 and 15,000 people and built to accommodate sports, concerts and other events. The project will also feature commercial, residential and office space as well as hotel, retail and entertainment spaces.

Elsewhere in downtown, the company plans to open the first phase of its Smoky Hollow project later this year, with the first phase to include a Publix grocery store and a new apartment complex.

And Kane Realty is also looking to redevelop the longtime home of Clancy & Theys Construction Company on W. Cabarrus Street in downtown Raleigh. Few details about the project have been released, but the development’s footprint will be about six acres – or around 264,800 square feet – and would include a parking deck.
