
2023 State of the Region

The 2023 State of the Region will be held on Thursday, May 11 at the Angus Barn Pavillion. The event is attended by the region’s business and community leaders, who convene to hear and share insight on the economic vitality of our region. Held annually, the event’s intent is to provide information that will open dialogue about our region’s growth and future prosperity.

Keynote Speaker
Lt. Gen. Jonathan P. Braga took command of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command in August 2021. Before that, he held various positions in the military, including serving as the commander of Special Operations Command Pacific and as the deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Pacific. Braga was commissioned as an infantry officer in 1991 and served in various command positions in the 7th Special Forces Group. He also completed multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Colombia for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Additionally, he achieved his master's at the Naval War College and served as a garrison commander and chief of staff at JSOC.
