CHAPEL HILL — Some are calling it the “great pause” — this period of sheltering in place for most Americans during the COVID-19 crisis that is wreaking havoc on the country’s economy and small businesses.

But now there is help.

UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School’s The Entrepreneurship Center is starting up an online education series — aptly called “Navigating the Great Pause” — to help entrepreneurs and businesses survive pandemic and come out stronger on the other side.

It will be held every Thursday at noon throughout April.

On April 9, it kicks off with a discussion about leading your organization in the midst off fear, uncertainty and doubt. The following weeks will tackle topics such as money and legal resources, finance operations, client services and sales.

“Each week the series convenes expert panelists in topic areas ranging from team morale to finance to help navigate your questions and needs as they relate to operating in this new normal,” the center said in its release.

For students who may want some one-on-one coaching for their startup, the center is also offering virtual coaching until April 17.
