Home construction firm picks Sanford for new operation, 200+ jobs

More than 200 new jobs are coming to Sanford after the North Carolina Economic Investment Committee approved state tax incentives for Service Offsite Solutions to build a new facility in Lee County.

Service Offsite Solutions manufactures and assembles various sections – floors, walls, roofs – for homes, the sections being built at a factory and then assembled on site.

According to the company its offsite “framing will help the builder to…

•   Reduce Time and Improve profitability.

•   Reduce framing cycle times from 12 days to 2 days.

•   Reduce time for mechanical trades and insulation from 12 days to 7 days.

The new jobs will pay more than $50,000.

The company launched in 2020 and is based in Sanford. The new jobs will be created to help build a permanent site for operations with an expected investment of nearly $12 million.

Virginia also was considered as a location for the operation, the EIC noted.

Local and state incentives total more than $3 million.

The company already has 28 employees and 35 contractors.
