How Johnson Automotive is dealing with COVID-19 to keep customers safe

Editor’s note: This overview of how Johnson Automotive is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic by WRAL TechWire Board Member Erick Kirks.

During these uncertain times the safety and health of our valued guests, staff and vendor partners is of utmost importance.  Like most businesses that work directly with the public, we have been taking precautionary measures to clean and sanitize our facilities across all departments.  In addition to enhanced professional cleaning protocols we have taken the following steps:

  • Installed hand sanitizers throughout our dealerships
  • Conducting regular, extra disinfecting of all highly touched surfaces
  • Any employee coming into contact with guests’ vehicles will wear gloves
  • All guests’ vehicles will have plastic seat cover, steering wheel cover and paper floor mat installed

Our employees that have recently traveled have been placed under 14-day minimum self-quarantine and must visit a doctor before returning to the workplace
As local, state and federal authorities continue to update their responses we will act accordingly.  It is our goal to continue to find ways to serve you as we recognize that reliable, working transportation is something important to all of us.

We understand that with the current concerns regarding practicing social distancing and avoiding crowd-gathering, you may not feel comfortable visiting our dealerships.  We have taken the following steps to better serve you:

  • Need service?  We will pick up your vehicle at your home and return it.  There is no charge for providing concierge pickup/delivery. *Limited availability and appointment flexibility required.  **Currently available within the Triangle area.
  • Car Shopping?  Our websites provide pictures, videos and descriptions of each vehicle.  You can chat online, call, email or text us and we will respond promptly.  We can make all arrangements to deliver the vehicle to your home.
  • Curious about what your trade-in is worth?  We have those tools available on our websites as well.
  • We even offer the ability to complete your purchase on our websites where you can select a vehicle, get pre-approved for financing, calculate lease or finance payments and select from protection products like extended warranties.
  • Want to test drive a car?  We will bring the vehicle to your home and allow you to drive it.  You can also view virtual test drive videos on many new vehicle models on our websites.
