Morrisville firm targets $7M raise for device that vaccinates 100K chicks per hour

Applied LifeSciences and Systems Poultry Inc. out of Morrisville has raised half of its targeted $7 million that will go towards funding the commercialization of its first device to vaccinate chicks. The device will specifically vaccinate 100 day-old chicks per hour to protect against a variety of diseases. In addition to chicks, Applied LifeSciences has patents to apply its technology to other animals, such as in aquaculture, swine, and livestock.
