Pendo plans to hire 400 more workers in 2022

After opening its new headquarters facility in downtown Raleigh, Pendo announced highlights from the technology unicorn’s fiscal year, which ended in January.

According to the company, which released a statement this week, it reached significant milestones, including doubling its headcount.

And, more workers could be coming, as the company noted that it plans to hire 400 additional employees this year.  The company’s website lists more than 110 openings that are yet to be filled.

The company recently released a new product suite, Pendo Adopt.  The company noted in its statement that it provides “better software experiences to more than 500 million people every month.”

“We believe that the future is product led. The companies that are putting their products at the center of everything they do are positioned for unprecedented innovation, growth and success,” said Todd Olson, CEO and co-founder of Pendo in the statement. “Our team has worked hard to create the one platform that provides companies with all the tools needed to successfully make this organizational shift. We’re excited to build off our momentum, and help more companies become product led in 2022.”

The company officially opened its new headquarters location, the top five floors of 301 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, earlier this month.  Pendo made the decision in 2019.

WRAL’s Matt Talhelm visited the new facility and provides a sneak peek at the company’s features.

Close to the time the company made the decision, Olson told WRAL TechWire that the company was “pretty darn close” to being considered a unicorn, or a private company with a valuation at or above $1 billion.

The company would raise $150 million in July 2021 in a Series F fundraising round, which valued the company at close to $2.6 billion.

Pendo acquired a London-based company, Mind the Product, earlier this year.  That was the third acquisition that Pendo has made.
