Raleigh app developer TOURtech launches COVID-19 screening centers

Date Published:

RALEIGH – TOURtech, an emerging entrepreneurial company that recently launched an app to help restaurants offer “touchless menus,” is adding COVID-19 testing centers designed to be set up temporarily for events and businesses with a need to screen employees.

The service includes laptops and additional information technology resources with tests being recorded and delivered through apps linked to a secure cloud, the company says.

“Businesses are up against tremendous challenges to keep up regular operations while making sure their workforce is healthy. If there’s an outbreak, they need to quickly set up testing facilities,” said Allen Cook, founder and CEO of TOURtech, in a statement. “Our technology turns parking lots into fully-networked COVID-19 testing sites in a matter of days.”

TOURtech is partnering with Healthscreen Solutions for the popup testing center offering.

The firm says the popups could be used by companies and for entertainment venues.

“Products include internet access, point-of-sales solutions, smart CCTV monitoring and backup and custom technology development,” TOURtech says.
