Long-standing health and social inequalities based on race and ethnicity have put many people at risk of contracting COVID-19. To help get us closer to a vaccine, UNC School of Medicine’s Infectious Diseases Division is asking people to join COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials. We hear from Gibson, associate professor of medicine and pediatrics, and chief of pediatric nephrology, who joined a COVID-19 clinical trial this fall and invites others to consider joining the fight.
