Johnston County Opportunity Zone Summit

The Johnston County Economic Development, the Town of Clayton, and the Clayton Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a panel-style discussion over lunch regarding Opportunity Zones here in the Johnston County.  The Summit is to learn more about the program and its benefits and will be held at The Clayton Center on January 30, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. – 1: 30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each to cover lunch.

Opportunity Zones were added to the tax code by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.  An Opportunity Zone is an economically-distressed community where new investments, under certain conditions, may be eligible for preferential tax treatment.  Although this event will be held in Johnston County, the information shared can be applied to other Zones within the Region.
